第二讲——名词
高考中，名词这个语法考点主要考两个方面：
一．名词的性质：简单地说，就是你在一个句子里，要能判断出那些需要用名词的句法成分。下面，我们通过高考真题来一一说明。
形容词后面是名词，反之亦然：
1.but for tourists like me, pandas are its top__61 attraction_(attract).
（2016全国高考英语-1语法填空）这个句子，你要能分析出：空白处是表语，它的前面有形容词性物主代词its和形容词top，所以，此处要用名词，attract的名词形式是attraction，这样，你就能解决这个问题。
原句译文：“但是对于像我这样的游客，熊猫才是它最顶级的旅游景点”
2.to everyone`s surprising,(2019全国高考英语-1 短文改错) 此处surprising是现在分词形式，你要从两个方面来判断出它的正确形式。1. everyone`s是所有格形式，后面要用名词。2. to one’s surprise为固定短语，意为“令某人惊讶的是”
3.since june 2017, night before the _56arrival_(arrive) of the two new pandas, meng meng and jiao qing, i have been helping the panda keepers at the zoo to feel more comfortable and _57confident_(confidence) speaking english. （2023年全国高考英语乙卷 语法填空56题）这一题，从前面的定冠词the和后面作定语的介词短语，就能判断出这里应该是是名词。
4.my uncle tells me that the key to his success is honest.(honesty)（2016全国高考英语-1短文改错） 本题的honest，它的成分是表语，当然形容词和名词都能用，但是句子的主语是the key，这里的表语不是在说主语的性质，而是在说主语的内容，所以要用名词。
5.the far side of the moon is of particular __64interest__( interesting) to scientists because it has a lot of deep craters(环形山），more so __65than__ the familiar near side. （2020全国高考英语-1 语法填空）明确下面三个知识点，就能解决本题：1.这一题考的是be of n=adj，可知，此处应该是名词。 2.particular是形容词，所以，后面是名词。3前面有介词of，后面应该是名词，做介词的宾语。
6.“ as a main promoter of the international tea day, the birthplace of tea and the _64 largest _(large)tea-producing country, china has a _65 responsibility _(responsible) to work with other countries to promote the healthy development of the tea industry. （2022年乙卷语法填空题） 本题由空格前面的不定冠词a，就能判断出，空白处应该用名词。
通过近几年高考语法名词的考点可以看出，要想通过这一语法点的考试，必须要明确名词的性质和它的语法功能。

二．可数名词的单、复数：
大家肯定会说，这太简单了，开始学英语就会了！
但是，可数名词的单、复数这个考点，几乎每年都考，为什么呢？！道理很简单，主要英汉两种语言有差异。
中国人说“一本书”,英语是a book”、我们说“两本书，英语是two books”，发现了没有？！我们的汉语，只需要在名词前面加个数字就行了，而英语不仅要在名词前面加数字，还有在复数名词后面加“s”或“es”。
总是考，目的是要我们注意两种语言表达方式的差异！
